Fashion is a sphere which requires a lot of dedication and hardwork. There are several brands making a remarkable impact and one of such is the FabFem brand in London. Fabfem was founded by a positive and hardworking woman called Charis Jaid and so far this brand has created a platform for women with diverse interests such as fashion, health, business etc. They provide clothing services, modelling services and several fantastic services. Considering how dedicated this brand is in making an impact in fashion it is safe to say that the future holds a lot of great events for them. Enjoy the interview with Fabfem below. xx

1. What is fabfem? What does it stand for ? - We stand for all things fabulous and feminine. We are a Female Empowerment Movement (which is where the FEM is abbreviated from) and have created a platform for females with different sectors - fashion, beauty, health, business and personal advice, modelling, events, promotion and many more. We currently have briefly touched on each subject on our website and in the near future will be dominating each sector. We have a wide audience from all over the world, and a strong in house team that build the brand awareness. We hold an element of class, respect and luxury within our portrayal and aim to mould this into the mindset of females in all aspects of their life. 

 

2. What services does fabfem provide ? - We have a clothing collection and also shoes available on our website, we work with other designers to showcase their designs, we offer all different types of advice from business to personal to fitness, we have a modelling agency, we run a personal styling programme called FashFix - we have a team of stylists that offer advice to personal shopping and make overs. We are working on other sectors of our brand which will be announced shortly - stay tuned!

 

3. What is the motivation behind fabfem? - The motivation and drive comes from wanting to make a change in society focusing on females as there's not alot out there for us. I combined my interests to create a brand that can empower and uplift women and found my passion in the midst of it. I wanted the brand to appeal to every type of female, no matter what walk of life she comes from there will be something she can take from FabFem. We have set the bar for the next generation of females - business owners, fashionistas, mothers, teachers. The journey started in February 2013 and I have been working hard on it ever since. I have a strong will for success, and I know that with self belief, determination and hard work you can achieve your dreams and I want to teach that to females - to aspire to have more, do more and be more. There is not enough appraisal for good women or female entrepreneurs so I aim to be the brand that changes and stands for that.

 

 4. Where does fabfem aspire to be in 5years? - FabFem aims to be a worldwide empire with many sectors underneath the brand. From an established fashion line, to a worldwide modelling agency, to life coaching and personal advice organisations, to business and career building workshops, to personal styling... and many more! You will have to keep up with our journey to see what we get up to! 

 

 5. What distinguishes fabfem from other similar brands - We have not yet come across anything like FabFem that covers all aspects of female empowerment and lifestyle from fashion to dealing with abuse to fitness and business. We have built up a platform of over 20k people worldwide in 30 different countries and is growing rapidly by the day, from Instagram to our website to members of the public. We have a unique approach and vision that sets the bar for other brands. We also have a very strong team behind us with over 60 brand ambassadors in 8 countries behind FabFem.

 

 6. What advice do you have for young female entrepreneurs/ enthusiasts out there? - You should definitely visit: http://fabfem.co.uk/blogs/business for a full break down on my intro guide to entrepreneurship and having a millionaire mindset. But one thing I will say is, whatever you put your mind to - you can achieve it. No dream is too big, the only thing stopping you from who you are today and who you want to be tomorrow is yourself and your mindset, so once you fall into the mentality that the dream you want to pursue can come true by working hard- you will be unstoppable! There will be sacrifices, tears, pain, loss of money, loss of friends.. but it's all worth it in the end! Be a goal digger, not a gold digger! 

 

7. Are there any upcoming fabfem events in 2013?  - Yes, we have our first event to be confirmed for end of September - beginning of October. More details to follow very soon. We are also currently recruiting both paid and voluntary roles depending on experience and input.
